Facial fillers (HA fillers, Hyaluronic acid fillers) can be used safely to diminish wrinkles, lines, and volume loss (atrophy) of the face effectively, and reproducdeably, in the office in the matter of minutes.
Allergan has expanded their product line of HA fillers to include JuveDerm XC, Volbella, Vollure, and Voluma. I have been using combinations of these fillers in a process called “co-mingling” where several fillers are used simultaneously in the same setting to enhance the youthfulness of patients’ face.
There has to be a higher art form for breast implant outcomes. When I evaluate a patient I take into account patient desires, along with the numerous anatomic features present and my 22 years’ experience in private practice to develop a proper plan in an effort to give my patients the best opportunity to have a simple and ideal aesthetic result. For example, I take into account rib contour issues ( asymmetries, position, shape) along with breast skin quality and amount, together with breast tissue amounts and quality (loose tissue, tight tissue) and the interrelationships of each of these with each other: (How does the breast skin attach to the underlying breast tissue?) (How does breast tissue and skin interrelate to chest wall constriction of footprint or base diameter?)
Fat grafting involves the removal of fat from one area of the body (by liposuction) and then placing it into another area of the body as a graft.
I use fat grafting in my practice to restore volume to the face and lips, sometimes a stand-alone procedure, but often combined with face lifting or eyelid surgery. Particular location in the face that benefit the most from fat grafting include the lips, lid-cheek junction, jawline, prejowl or marionette region, and nasolabial folds.
